Pot selection
The type and size of the plant that you will plant in the pot and whether it is intended for indoor or outdoor use determines both the material of the pot you choose and its size. For outdoor plants, prefer pots with materials that can withstand abrupt changes in temperature, frost and heat.
Clay pots: The porous material they have makes them suitable for all plants. However, if they are intended for outdoor use, you should choose frost-resistant clay pots because they often crack during the winter months. Ideal for fruits and vegetables as their non-porous material keeps the soil fresh and helps the proper growth of fruits and vegetables.
Wooden pots : > Recommended for edible plant species (herbs such as sage, chamomile, oregano, mint). Their disadvantage is that they wear out easily. Wood is an excellent choice for you as well.

Proper use of a pot
- Measure the size of your pot and select the pot in the appropriate dimensions so that it is perfectly compatible with the pot.
- However, if the pot you have chosen is larger than your pot, fill the pot with clay or gravel to such a height that when you place your pot in the pot, it is in the right place. Finally, add a mat under the plastic pot. Proper transplantation
- Fill the depth of the pot with clay or gravel to improve oxygenation of the roots but also to facilitate drainage.
- Fill the pot with a sufficient amount of peat. Peat helps to trap air and retain sufficient water. In this way, the quality of the soil is renewed and improved as it is enriched with a variety of nutrients.
- Place a geotextile so that the clay does not mix with the hole. In this way the water will come out as clean as possible, it will not leave stains on the floor and the holes in the pot will not clog.
- For outdoor use, place supports to drain the water while if it is to be placed indoors, place a watertight plate under the pot.
